The Centre for Knowledge Ideas Development Studies (KnIDS) organized a two-day webinar titled, “Sustainable Development: Taming Consumption, Yearning for Inclusivity” on 25-26 February, 2022. Pronab Sen delivered the keynote address. 31 engaging papers were read and resulted in exciting discussions around contemporary conception of sustainability.

Photography as an artistic medium became the perfect synthesis of art and science. The advent of social media has provided photography with a new platform, a new location from which it can function for both good and bad. Social media is the hotpot where culture, politics, news, and performances melt. The aesthetic purity of the art form of photography is severely challenged by aberrations endangered through social media. The trolls of social media use fake photographs to issue forth slander and malaise. The paper shall attempt to understand in the light of social media, fake photography, and trolls of the government whether or not the aesthetic purity of art forms can be maintained and what shall be the consequences of such aberrations if art can give rise to alternative facts especially in a varied sociopolitical atmosphere as India.

All India Management Association (AIMA), a not for profit, non-lobbying organisation, is the apex body for management in India with a broad base of 62 Local Management Associations and over 30,000 professional individual members. AIMA has been encouraging SMEs (Small & Medium Enterprises) to enhance their managerial capabilities in the corona virus pandemic and use management tools for their growth and development. In this context, we have been addressing issues concerning them particularly innovative solutions in the management of finance, technology, marketing, branding, IPR etc.
AIMA has also been regularly organizing Annual MSME Conventions to address policy and innovative solutions concerning the MSME sector and have held them previously in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai and Guwahati. These Conventions also have helped MSMEs come together to review policy initiatives of the Government, appreciate their role and place in the national economy and formulate the agenda for progress.
